What KTM’s 2009 400 XC-W has done is claimed the world’s best Enduro frame with the central double-cradle-type 25CrMo4 and aluminum frame with removable subframe and the WP suspension and Brembo binders found on the high-end models in this line-up. Also you get the 58.31 inch wheelbase, longer than the XC-W 450/530 (58.07 inches), and yet the same 15-inch ground clearance. A big advantage is 36.42 inches above the seat, but not the fact that, overall, this thing weighs the same as its bigger brothers and sisters (247.36 pounds).

It is quite clear that adapted to the smaller riders who have ridden more than a few motorcycles over the years, the 2009 KTM 400 XC-W remarks mainly due to the 393.four cc, single cylinder, four stroke, SOHC, four-valve engine . This makes their KTM riders to push to the limit and get to know the bike better than they would know if they had more power.

S new KTM 400 XC-W is a point at the average Japanese 450 cc four-stroke enduro, but the old Suzuki DR-Z400E sounds like a decent alternative too. With its liquid-cooled, 398 cc, four-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, four-valve engine only needed to carry 262 pounds dry weight, power-to-weight ratio does not differ dramatically won. Yet the price, because the DR-Z400E starts at just $ 5199.

The only indicator of the engine and potential (when off), is the fact that the bike was built as a much larger, given the chair positioned at 38.78 inches of ground clearance and one that belongs to the most ll get you decent, 15.35 inches. Perhaps that is why this thing doesn t come with a skid plate s.

Supported by WP suspension, the wheels measuring either 21 or 18 inches in diameter, depending on the rider s option, while the 2009 KTM 200 XC-W performance Brembo brakes (also present in the higher-end models of this division) come standard.
In fact, Yamaha claims to have turned their smallest XC-W in a significantly different blast. We ve come to find that this is partly true as the engine’s character remains while a vivid user experience, especially in the use of the top of the power band. The bike addresses to those devoted to the dirt bikes to and are now planning their way along paths and at least as quickly in a more sophisticated way.

The engine is just idling along paths so happy, because the feeding of the light cycle to the highest hills, on the rocks and logs, the only problem that a beginning rider may find that the 2009 KTM 200 XC-W has the need to go through a stage from every routine and every time the engine dies. However, this bike never had an electric starter (although it would be nice to see that in the future) so this is not part of 2009 and amendments.

A combination of enduro and off-route, the bike and versatility is ensured by the overall light weight (418.88 lbs), and by the power and reach of the SPD components mounted on. The trellis frame is nothing special, but the 48 mm WP USD forks / WP mono shock and Brembo front (300 mm disc) and rear (240 mm disc) brakes are there for a quality ride in all areas. Standard, the Super Enduro R features rubber dirt, but replacing the wheels with a pair of 16 super moto Ones offer a different kind of thrill ride the bike because it turns into an almost original One Street. This change also requires a few aftermarket pipes on the engine RETUNE for more low and mid rpm grunt, but let’s stop talking and hypothesis and see how and where it all began.

There is only one bike that can really take on BMW’s new R1200GS Adventure and that’s the KTM 990 Adventure. And what better way to test them than to tackle a bit of off-road in the Cairngorms mid winter.
