I know EXACTLY what goes into making these as I used to build,sell and buy space framed highbrids,our speciality was a shortened rangerover/disco chassis,spaceframed with series body shells,we also bought and sold some of Bowlers earlier comp safari racers.Our build budget was £3,000, in 1998,most of the money went on donor vehicles.Bowlers current models underneath are all modified production vehicle parts as ours were with aftermarket suspension,brakes etc,

I think you forgot to consider research and development and labour costs!!

This is not your average suped up car with bits and pieces from a halford’s shelf stuck onto it.
Its a properly designed and engineered off roader with a full spaceframe chassis. Try building one yourself and see how much time, effort, research and development it takes to get it all right.
